How to use

◎Preparing the substrate

Allow a full curing period after the finish material is installed, and confirm that it is completely dry.

Remove any dirt or oil on the surface of the finish material beforehand.

Mask off everything outside the application area so that REPEL・S does not get on it.

*If any does, wash it off immediately with water.

◎Application

The components can separate, so shake the container well before opening it.

Apply REPEL・S with a sprayer, brush or roller. (Standard usage: 200g/㎡)

*To avoid an uneven finish, apply two coats as standard. Apply the first coat (100g/㎡), leave it for about 30 minutes, then apply the second coat (100g/m2).

* Keep shaking the container while you work.

◎Protection

Protect the surface from water for 12 hours after application.

Q: Does the color of the stone change after application?

A: The liquid is clear and colorless, and it soaks into the material and blends in, so the color does not change. It does not form a film that puts a sheen on the surface either, so the natural texture of the material is left intact.

Q: Does it repel water?

A: Yes, it does.

Our formulation cuts back on the surface repellents that exist mainly to make water bead up for show, and instead drives the active ingredients deep into the material so that the water-resisting effect lasts.

As a result, it does not behave like typical products whose repellency sits on the surface and gives out within a year. We put substance ahead of a short-lived look.

Q: How long does it stay effective?

A: Yes, there is a service life.

Because the active ingredients stay inside the material, applying two coats the first time can be expected to give more than 10 years of protection.

On a house exterior, for example, the 10-year inspection — when scaffolding is up anyway — is a good opportunity to consider a second application if you want one.

The product itself is inexpensive and applying it with a sprayer or brush takes little effort, which makes it easy to redo alongside other maintenance work.

Many clients also choose not to reapply, because they want to enjoy the way the surface weathers.
