Test Data
When the brick tile was 19mm thick and dry metal fittings (Brick Chain) were used, the tiles continued to move up to a maximum displacement of 30mm without peeling. The wide base indicates the tenacity against peeling (red line in the figure below). On the other hand, when no metal fittings were used, the tiles peeled off at a maximum displacement of 17mm (blue line in the figure below). The test results in the figure below show that by using dry metal fittings (Brick Chain) in addition to brick tiles and joints, the maximum tensile load increases by approximately 15%.
