About Glengarry

Glen-Gery is one of the largest manufacturers of high-quality bricks in the United States.

The history of Glen-Gery began in 1890, at the height of the Industrial Revolution, when Albert A. Gery purchased 32 acres of land and two rectangular kilns in Reading, Pennsylvania, and founded the Montello Clay and Brick Company, the predecessor of Glen-Gery. The brick kilns, which were built using a new continuous firing process to meet large orders, were the largest in the United States at the time. The rapid increase in demand for bricks after the war led to unprecedented growth in both geography and production.

Today Glen-Gery products can be found in many of New York City's most famous and architecturally prestigious buildings, including the Worldwide Plaza, the Chrysler Building and the beautiful features of our nation's capital, Washington Harbor.

A century after its humble origins, Glen-Gery still maintains the high standards it established at the beginning: quality, honesty, innovation and integrity. Today, Glen-Gery is one of the largest brick manufacturers in the United States and leads the industry with a diverse line of more than 600 different brick products.
