Paste Arrange the tiles temporarily and then install them while making sure to minimize unevenness. Apply interior floor adhesive to the base and the back of the tile and press firmly. Be careful not to create any cavities on the back side. Check the area being worked on during the process, and if there are any large uneven areas, remove the product and apply interior floor adhesive to the back of the product to adjust the unevenness as you work. After installation, check that the unevenness has been adjusted. 3. Jointing Fill the joints with mortar. Fill the joints up to the surface of the product (to prevent tripping). Wipe off any grout stains on the surface with a sponge that has been soaked in water and wrung out. The stains will become harder to remove over time. After completion, inspect the area and refill any gaps that are not completely filled. 4.Curing Be sure to cover the area thoroughly with a sheet or similar. Do not stand on or place objects on the construction area during construction. *It will take about a week to cure until the final hardening. Please try to keep the area as well ventilated as possible until hardening is complete. 5. The area to be painted at one time should be the area where the bricks will be laid within approximately 40 minutes of open time, or within 1 MAIKO KANNO². 3. Attachment (Improved Pressure Bonding Method) The back of the brick is slightly uneven, so apply MT-BOND to the extent that the legs (octopus legs) of the brick are no longer visible. Attach the brick by kneading it, and press MT-BOND fully into the joints so that it fits the entire back of the brick until it overflows. ※point※ ◎To check the adhesion of the special interior wall adhesive (MT-BOND), peel off several sheets every 2 m2 and work while checking that the special interior wall adhesive (MT-BOND) is attached to at least 70% of the back side. If the effective adhesion area is 70% or less, use an 8 mm comb trowel to increase the amount of special interior wall adhesive (MT-BOND) applied to the base or increase the amount of special interior wall adhesive (MT-BOND) applied to the back side of the brick. 4. Joint finishing Use a slightly damp brush to smooth out any excess joints to give them a natural look. ※point※ If there is not enough adhesive in the joints, it may cause peeling. 5.Curing Avoid direct sunlight and protect the product with a sheet or similar. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to harden. 6. Joint finishing Fill the joints with the special joint material MT-MEJI using a joint bag, etc. After filling, roughly press down with a joint trowel. After allowing sufficient time for curing, carry out the same work as in (a). ※point※ ◎ Avoid carrying out installation in rainy weather and carry out on a sunny day. ◎ When carrying out work during cold seasons, do not carry out work when the temperature is below 5°C or if it is expected that the temperature will drop below 5°C during the curing period after work. 2. Preparation for pasting Remove the stones from the multiple cartons and place them temporarily in the work area. Create an overall image and paste it in. 3. Applying mortar Apply resin mortar (recommended: Nippon Kasei NS-ST mortar) to the base, squeezing it in, then apply two coats to adjust the thickness to about 5mm. The area you apply at one time should be limited to the area where you will finish laying the stones within the open time (working time) of 30 minutes. ※point※ The open time varies depending on the season, temperature, and other conditions. If you touch the resin mortar applied to the base with your hand and it does not stick to your hand, the open time is too long. Check as you work and shorten the open time according to the situation. 4. Installation (Improved crimping method + Vibration tool) 1. After cleaning the back of the stone with a brush, apply about 5mm of resin mortar evenly to the entire back of the stone, then attach it to the wall. The back of the stone is uneven, so make sure that the mortar is applied firmly to the entire back. Use a vibrating tool to press the resin mortar firmly into the joints until it overflows. 2. If the area you are installing has a corner, start attaching the pieces from the corner. The corner pieces have long and short sides, so attach them alternately. 3. When attaching the flat pieces, first proceed by fitting the larger stones in place. ※point※ ◎CAN'STONE has a low water absorption rate, so there is no need to soak the stone in water or apply a primer to the back of the stone before application, which were precautions when applying conventional cement-based stone. However, this does not apply to the base, so the base must be prepared according to the conditions. ◎ Installation should be done using the improved pressure-attaching method and a vibrating tool should be used. ◎To check the adhesive adhesion during installation, peel off several pieces every 2m2 and check whether the resin mortar is attached to the entire back side. If there is not enough mortar on the back side, recheck and adjust the thickness of the coating on the base, or increase the amount of resin mortar applied to the back side of the stone. 5. Processing (dimension adjustment) Please adjust the size of the stones to ensure a good fit. Use a diamond cutter, hatchet, pliers, etc. to cut, mill, or separate the material in the areas that are as thin as possible. 6. Joint Finishing 1. Fill the joints with our joint material MT-MEJI using a joint bag etc. In particular, in areas where the joints do not rise much when pasting, fill the joints sufficiently to about 1/2 or evenly. 2. To finish the joints, press the filled MT-MEJI firmly with a joint trowel before it hardens, then use a brush or whisk to roughly scratch the joints. ※point※ Don't worry if the trowel leaves uneven marks, just finish the job, and finally use a brush or scissors to scratch the joints in places to make them look weathered. ◎Do not install without joints. 7. Curing and water absorption prevention treatment Avoid ventilation and direct sunlight, and protect the surface by covering it with a sheet or similar. Allow sufficient time for curing after application, and ensure that it is completely dry. Then thoroughly brush away any dust on the stone surface and in the joints.
