If the area you are installing has a corner, start attaching the pieces from the corner. The corner pieces have long and short sides, so attach them alternately. 3. When attaching the flat pieces, first proceed by fitting the larger stones in place. ※point※ ◎CAN'STONE has a low water absorption rate, so there is no need to soak the stone in water or apply a primer to the back of the stone before application, which were precautions when applying conventional cement-based stone. However, this does not apply to the base, so the base must be prepared according to the conditions. ◎ Installation should be done using the improved pressure-attaching method and a vibrating tool should be used. ◎To check the adhesive adhesion during installation, peel off several pieces every 2m2 and check whether the resin mortar is attached to the entire back side. If there is not enough mortar on the back side, recheck and adjust the thickness of the coating on the base, or increase the amount of resin mortar applied to the back side of the stone. 5. To finish the joints, press the filled MT-MEJI firmly with a joint trowel before it hardens, then use a brush or whisk to roughly scratch the joints. ※point※ Don't worry if the trowel leaves uneven marks, just finish the job, and finally use a brush or scissors to scratch the joints in places to make them look weathered. ◎Do not install without joints. 7. Curing and water absorption prevention treatment Avoid ventilation and direct sunlight, and protect the surface by covering it with a sheet or similar. Allow sufficient time for curing after application, and ensure that it is completely dry. Then thoroughly brush away any dust on the stone surface and in the joints. Since we will process the product, it will be shipped in the condition shown in the photo. procedure 1. Tile installation and screw installation Please clean the base surface beforehand. Check that the base is firmly fixed and that there are no unevenness in the joints of the boards, etc. 1-1: Use a spatula or similar tool to apply dots of adhesive to the back of the stone in the form of balls. Alternatively, apply the product until the back of the tile is no longer visible. 1-2: Please attach the film by referring to the installation instructions . Press it firmly until the adhesive comes out. 1-3: Fix the screw in place so that the stainless steel wire can be pulled out about 100 mm from the stone. ※important point※ Please drive the screw into the side where the stainless steel wire is sticking out. Applicable substrate: Siding/concrete/block/russ mortar By using ME-05 (adhesive for interior and exterior wall imitation stone tiles, Can'Stone), it can be used on siding bases that cannot be applied using wet methods with resin mortar. Even with conventional mortar bases, it is more elastic than wet methods with mortar, so it can follow the movement of the base and suppress the occurrence of cracks. *Since the joints are filled with mortar after the adhesive has hardened, the construction period is longer than with conventional wet construction methods. 1. Surface preparation A. In the case of concrete, block, or raspberry base... Inspect and clean the base. If the base is made of Rathmol, allow it to cure for a sufficient period of time to ensure it is completely dry and has minimal unevenness. B. In case of siding board base... Make sure the joints are firmly secured and the base is prepared to prevent movement. Apply butyl joint tape to joints and corners. *Recommended thickness of siding board: 14mm or more ※point※ ◎ Avoid carrying out installation in rainy weather and carry out on a sunny day. ◎ When carrying out work during cold seasons, do not carry out work when the temperature is below 5°C or if it is expected that the temperature will drop below 5°C during the curing period after work. 2. Preparation for pasting Take out the stones from the multiple cartons and place them temporarily on the work area. Create an overall image and then start pasting. 3. Applying adhesive Apply the elastic adhesive (ME-05) to the base using a 6mm toothed trowel. The area you paint at one time should be the area that you can finish applying the stones to within the allotted time. ◎ If the effective bonding area is 70% or less, use an 8mm toothed trowel to increase the amount of Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) applied to the base, or increase the amount of Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) applied to the back of the stone. 4. Paste Use a spatula or similar tool to apply dots of adhesive to the back of the stone. Alternatively, apply elastic adhesive (ME-05) to the entire back surface of the stone until the feet (octopus feet) are no longer visible. Press firmly until the elastic adhesive overflows. ※point※ ◎To check the adhesion of the Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) during application, peel off several sheets every 2m² and check that the Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) is attached to more than 70% of the back side. ◎ If the effective bonding area is 70% or less, use an 8mm toothed trowel to increase the amount of Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) applied to the base, or increase the amount of Elastic Adhesive (ME-05) applied to the back of the stone. ◎ Any adhesive adhering to the surface of the finishing material should be wiped off with a cloth soaked in thinner or similar before it hardens. 5.Curing Please allow sufficient curing time (at least one day in summer, at least three days in winter) for the elastic adhesive (ME-05) to harden. 6. Joint finishing Fill the joints with the special joint material MT-MEJI using a joint bag, etc. After filling, roughly press down with a joint trowel. Check that it covers at least 1/2 the thickness of the stone and your desired finish (see joint finish), and fill in any areas that are lacking with a joint bag, etc. ※point※ ◎ Don't worry if the joint trowel leaves uneven marks as you finish the job, and finally use a brush or scissors to scratch the joints in places to make them look weathered. 7. Protection and water absorption prevention treatment Avoid ventilation and direct sunlight, and protect the stone by covering it with a sheet, etc. Allow the stone to cure for a sufficient period after application, and make sure it is completely dry. Then thoroughly brush off any dust on the stone surface and in the joints.
