We’ve updated our case studies for the CAN’STONE series!

Yamaichi Sekkei Co., Ltd. specified CAN’STONE “Ledge (LEG-2)” for the exterior wall of a private residence they designed.

A modern home with a striking exterior rising in a vast landscape. Solid, substantial wood and the powerful CAN’STONE “Ledge (LEG-2)” blend beautifully together, harmonizing with the surrounding nature.

The stacked-stone-look manufactured stone veneer CAN’STONE “LEDGE (LEG)” reproduces the linear patterns created when wind-carried desert sand abrades the surface of stone — a stacked-stone-style veneer material.

Q&A

Q: Can CAN’STONE be used in cold, snowy regions? A: Yes — it can be used on exterior walls as well as interior walls.

For this application, the tile is manufactured with frost-resistant properties rather than as a standard off-the-shelf product, so it is made to order.

Also, when used on exterior walls, be sure to apply the penetrating water repellent “REPEL・S”.

It helps prevent efflorescence as well as tile deterioration and staining.

Installation is prohibited at temperatures of 5°C or below, so please install only when temperatures are warm enough.
