Q1. What kind of tile is a Class AI tile?
It is an extruded porcelain tile with a very low water absorption of 3.0% or less, which gives it high water resistance. The surface is glazed, so it suits a wide range of applications, including indoor and outdoor spaces and wet areas.
Q2. What do matte and polished mean?
A matte surface has a fine texture that makes it less slippery, which improves safety outdoors and anywhere that gets wet. A polished surface is buffed to a sheen for a more refined look, but take care when specifying it for areas that get wet.
Q3. What is the slip resistance rating of the matte finish?
The matte finish is rated R12. That is a very high slip resistance grade, so it stays secure underfoot even on wet or sloping floors.
Q4. Can it be used outdoors?
Yes, on both walls and floors.
Q5. Is it difficult to maintain?
No special maintenance is required. Porcelain tile resists staining, so routine cleaning with water or a neutral detergent is enough.
Q6. Can it be used on a bathroom floor?
Yes. Please use the matte (R12) finish.
Q7. How long is the lead time?
Because these are imported tiles, there may be a wait when they are out of stock. Lead times vary with the situation, so please contact us for each project.
