Bakery & Public PENNY LANE Tokyo Solamachi store adopted an antique-look brick tile, CAN’BRICK “Manchester (MC-mix + Aging)”, for its interior design.

In May 2022, the hugely popular bakery “PENNY LANE” expanded into Tokyo

This renowned shop from Nasu, Tochigi, which mainly operates in the northern Kanto region, has finally expanded into Tokyo.

Following the direct sales shop and bakery workshop that opened in Honjo, Sumida Ward, the store that opened on the first floor of Tokyo Solamachi in May 2022 offers a sophisticated, adult space with stylish counter seating where you can also enjoy a drink.

・The interior reflects the world of the Beatles

The shop’s name, “Penny Lane,” was chosen by the owner, a huge Beatles fan, after the famous song named for a bus route street in Liverpool.

・Interior design reminiscent of a long-established British pub

The brick tile applied to the ceiling and support columns is laid in a random pattern with an oozed joint finish, conveying the distinctive character of brick masonry.

“Manchester (MC),” which already has the most antique texture among the CAN’BRICK series, was further given an “aging” treatment as a special touch. In the richly atmospheric interior reminiscent of a long-established British pub, you can enjoy delicious bread and drinks from morning to dinner.
